First Annual Trailblazers Award

St. Lucie County, Fla. – The 9th Annual Treasure Coast Business Summit, hosted by local business leaders Dana Trabulsy and Lynette Marraffa, and in collaboration with the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation, has partnered with Mindi Fetterman of The Inner Truth Project to introduce the First Annual Treasure Coast Trailblazers Awards.

This award of distinction will be presented to women who have paved the way, broken the glass ceilings, created new avenues and inspired us all. The 2017 Trailblazers Award is sponsored by Post Insurance of Port St. Lucie. Kathy Post, owner of Post Insurance is a trailblazer herself; being named as one of the country’s 40 ‘Elite Women in Insurance, by Insurance Business America. Trailblazers are threaded throughout the fibers of the Treasure Coast and present themselves in various manners. A call to action is being mad e to the Treasure Coast Community to nominate women who have carved a clearer path, brought a vision to life or changed the paradigm by which we think. TCBS announces panel line-up!

The 8th Annual Treasure Coast Business Summit will be held on May 20 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.  This year’s theme is the BUSINESS of Business and will feature a panel discussion with local experts.

The panel will include:  Julie Kleffel, EVP, Small Business Banking Leader at Seacoast Bank; Andrew Cagnetta, President, Transworld Business Brokers, LLC; Christopher E. Fogal, CPA, Partner at Proctor, Crook, Crowder & Fogal; and Scott Turnbull, Shareholder Crary Buchanan Attorneys At Law.

Panuccio to speak at TCBS!

Jesse Panuccio, Executive Director of the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for the State of Florida is scheduled to speak at the Treasure Coast Business Summit, May 15.  This is the 7th year of the TCBS and the theme is the BUSINESS of Healthcare.

 

Panuccio joined the DEO as Executive Director on January 8, 2013.  DEO is the state agency charged with coordinating and managing statewide economic, labor force, and community development.  As executive director, Panuccio oversees the department’s 1,600 employees and $1 billion budget.  Under his guidance, DEO has implemented a variety of agency-wide initiatives to strengthen the ties between economic, community, and workforce programs, while also streamlining agency operations and increasing transparency.

 

Prior to joining DEO, Panuccio served as the General Counsel to Governor Rick Scott, where he managed the legal affairs and staff of the Governor’s office, helped direct and coordinate litigation and legal policy across state agencies, advised the Governor on over eighty judicial nominations, and served as the Governor’s chief ethics officer.  Before joining the Scott Administration, Panuccio practiced law with the Washington D.C.-based law firm of Cooper & Kirk PLLC.

 

Panuccio received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Duke University.

The largest business-to-business event on the Treasure Coast will be held on Friday, May 15 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.  This is the 7th year of the event and the theme is the BUSINESS of Healthcare.

The Treasure Coast Business Summit (TCBS) was created in 2009 by a small group of business owners with the goal of creating a stimulus for the local economy.  The idea was to bring business owners and managers together to share ways to make their companies more profitable, operate efficiently and grow their businesses in a challenging economy.

The TCBS is designed to provide valuable educational information, professional resources, economic news and reports and professional motivation to keep business on track and moving forward.  This unique combination of information will help business owners and entrepreneurs identify their inner strengths and provide the tools and resources necessary to implement positive change in their business.
